Artisan rocketry, by a rapid prototyping specialist, funded by YouTube!
2022 Working on integrating all upgraded systems for July upgraded test
When I return to illinois for a week in late July 2022, I have several
days to combine everything I've finished so far, so as to have an upgraded
engine burn test!
2021 Began developing real-time digital engine control system
By having a series of Arduno Uno and Arduino Mega boards all
talking to each other, reading pressure transducers, and controlling
fuel and oxidizer solenoid valves, I can have the onboard computer
control the engine precisely, while logging data.
I've even started work on having the arduino cluster send data to
my windows 98 Thinkpad for real-time viewing! (This will be harder)
2020 Gathered parts for accumulator tanks.
Despite the world situation, I have managed to find several
suitable gas cylinders that will become the rocket engine's
propellant accumulator tanks, This will mean the engine won't be
limited by the throughput of the pressure regulators anymore.
2019 First Engine Test Burn.
Currently we are experimenting with low cost ignitor designs.
With the goal of developing a low cost liquid fueled rocket engine.
It would be a shame to waste money, so these first prototypes are
very much of an extemporized nature. The goal in the future is
to work towards a reliable design. Currently the fuel and oxidizer
supply tanks need to be built in order to power this first experiment.
I hope you enjoy following my rocketry journey. As money is hard to come by
I shall be taking a long time to build up this project.
Rocketry is notoriously expensive...
